Join in the Fun

COMMITTEES
The functions of our board members are split between three different areas, all served and driven by a specific committee. We work (and have fun) as close teams, curating, presenting and engaging in the best Detroit has to offer.

Events Committee
Committee members attend 5-6 meetings per season to plan DP2A events including a Season Launch Party, Excursions (smaller meet-up events), summer fundraising events, and Destination after-parties. Members will also work extensively on Hollywood in Detroit, our signature event.

Marketing Committee
Committee members attend 2-3 meetings per season to help with creating the marketing plan for the entire season, renewal strategies, and building networking and audience development partnerships. This “street team” committee also helps create the marketing plan for our signature event, Hollywood in Detroit.

Development & Finance Committee
Committee members attend 2-3 meetings per season to help with season budgeting and financial oversight. Members also help create and execute the fundraising plan, including connecting DP2A to individuals and businesses who are interested in supporting our mission.

Lend a Hand

We are looking for volunteers to help with pre-event coordination such as filling tickets and preparing materials, as well as hands-on help at events, such as working will call and setting up after-parties. Also, you can help us coordinate group volunteer days at other local charities in Detroit!
