- Help work an event–interact with patrons and build your people skills
- Be an ambassador for DP2A in the community by buying a passport and attending our events!
DP2A OPEN BOARD
As young professionals and entrepreneurs, DP2A is looking for creative, passionate, and strong community leaders of all ages to serve on our volunteer Open Board. You must be willing to donate your time and energy to this dynamic and growing program to help further our mission of cultivating the next generation of arts patrons. You can bring creative ideas to the table in our programming, fundraising, marketing, and help take DP2A’s message out in the community.
The Board meets 5 – 6 times per year. Responsibilities include attending events and meetings, and serving on one of our committees.
Committee members attend 4 – 5 meetings per season to help with creating the marketing plan for the entire season, renewal strategies, and building networking and audience development partnerships. This “street team” committee also helps create the marketing plan for our signature event, Hollywood in Detroit.
DEVELOPMENT & FINANCE COMMITTEE
Committee members attend 4 – 5 meetings per season to help with season budgeting and financial oversight. Members also help create and execute the fundraising plan, including connecting DP2A to individuals and businesses who are interested in supporting our mission.
Committee members attend 4-5 meetings per season to plan DP2A events including a Season Launch Party, Excursions (smaller meet-up events), summer fundraising events, and Destination after-parties. Members will also work extensively on Hollywood in Detroit, our signature event.
OTHER WAYS TO VOLUNTEER
We are looking for volunteers to help with pre-event coordination such as filling tickets and preparing materials, as well as hands-on help at events, such as working will call and setting up after-parties. Also, you can help us coordinate group volunteer days at other local charities in Detroit!
