SILENT NIGHT at MICHIGAN OPERA THEATRE

Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 7:30 p.m.
Detroit Opera House at 1526 Broadway St. / Detroit, MI 48226

As our Detroit Passport to the Arts season opener, the Michigan Opera Theatre has invited us to an MOT première! Grab your date, or your friends, and get dressed for an elegant evening on the town, hearing some of the music world’s finest singing on stage at the Detroit Opera House.

Silent Night takes place on Christmas Eve during World War I and is sung in three languages. Loosely based on true events, the opera tells of a spontaneous cease fire between French, Scottish and German soldiers. Silent Night debuted in Minneapolis in 2012, and has traveled to Philadelphia, St. Louis, and Cincinnati since. The music won a Pulitzer Prize in 2012. This production is derived from the 2005 French film, “Joyeux Noel”.

Your ticket includes access to our signature After-Party event to kick off the season, beginning immediately after the performance.  Socializing, networking, and connecting are the hallmarks of the DP2A After-Glows. Look forward to live entertainment, food and drinks, and incredible connections with others at Queens Bar!

ARRIVAL, ENTRANCE, PARKING

There are several parking structures in the vicinity of the Opera House.  We suggest you park in the Opera House Parking Structure located at 1426 Broadway Street, with entrances on John R. Street and E. Grand River Avenue.

Use the correct entrance for DP2A, the Ford Center entrance, as we will have a separate will call ticket pick-up from the rest of the opera attendees!
