Hilberry Theatre will host a premiere production of Detroit, a new play by Lisa D’Amour. The comedic story of two pairs of suburban Detroit neighbors provides a fresh, off-beat look at the seductive moment when you dare to open yourself up to something or someone new.

Detroit premiered in 2010 at Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theatre. Check out the review from the Chicago Tribune.

AFTER PARTY

After enjoying the critically-acclaimed Detroit, we’ll continue the celebration our favorite city with the best food and drinks Detroit has to offer, including a Vernors-based specialty drink, at Detroit’s Traffic Jam & Snug!

Raffle tickets for two great prizes will also be for sale at the after party. Up for grabs will be one Detroit Eats and one Detroit Drinks basket. As you can guess from the name, each basket comes filled with various Made in Detroit food items. Yum!
