performs The Barber of Seville

Rossini’s quintessential Italian comedy, written in 1816, boasts some of opera’s most recognizable music. The clever and amusing love story follows Count Almaviva as he vies for the hand of lovely young Rosina with the help of a local barber named Figaro. Performed in Italian with English supertitles.

(Yes, this is the opera where they sing “Figaro, Figaro, Figaro!”).

Playing off the opera’s setting and Italian language, the after-party will include Spanish vs. Italian wine tastings as well as sweet sounds from the Mediterranean. The after-party will take place at Angelina Italian Bistro, located directly across from the Opera House on Broadway Street.
