We’ll roll out the red carpet for Detroit’s very own version of the Oscars. Dress to impress for this special screening of the Academy Award-nominated short films with a special after-party at the Detroit Historical Museum featuring free food, drinks and entertainment.

Opera MODO is known for daring performances that reach across time to fuse classical art with contemporary popular culture. This production is based on Henry James’ novel of the same name—a gothic ghost story presented just before Halloween.

Cuco + Helado Negro + Lido PimientaHelado Negro

Cuco is a Los Angeles based artist making synth experimental music.

Helado Negro is the music and performance alias of Roberto Carlos Lange. A South Florida native, born to Ecuadorian immigrants and based in Brooklyn, Helado Negro’s upbringing provides essential elements to his songwriting, including his consistently bilingual – English and Spanish – lyrics.

Lido Pimienta is a Colombian-Canadian musician and human rights advocate whose La Papessa album won the 2017 Polaris Music Prize. Her music incorporates a variety of styles and influences, including traditional indigenous and Afro-Colombian musical styles and contemporary synthpop and electronic music.

Cabaret 313 presents one of the hottest cabaret shows in New York City: Funny How It Happens starring Tony Award nominee Jarrod Spector (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical) and leading lady Kelli Barrett (Wicked, Doctor Zhivago). Funny How It Happens is an intimate look at the make-it and break-it moments that eventually brought them together. The show features pop favorites and iconic songs from Broadway musicals while offering an inside – and often hilarious – scoop on what life is really like as a married Broadway power couple.
